Total Annihilation.

Played it on Cavedogs Boneyards for ages until CS took over my life.

Is BW gonna actually host any RTS's then?

The problem with RTS games and all games of that type is thay they don't have any kind of server mechanism like Quake or CS etc. so you can't really host them as such. However you can play them on the BW network and you'll enjoy the same speed and reliability benefits as you would with a FPS shooter on BW. You just need to know the IP address of your opponent. (I usually just type ipconfig in a dos box and get the number there).

I have to agree with you about Total Annihialtion as well - I still play that when the need grabs me - superb game and still has a very active online community as well.

some of the units are amazing
like the chaingun boat it has amazing range and power
TA kingdoms was a let down played it for a while it was good but no TA
