Best mixing software?

so far i have tryed mic meister and adobe audition. if used seperate and the finishing product merged together from both then you get some good stuff. but neither of them seem to be do everything i require. first off, i require the voice to be seperated from the background music, i have not seen a way to do this in either software.

i know you can get hardware to do it, but it is more of a mess on then getting software, if anyone knows of any?
