Regrowth specced druid. Most regrowth druids don't take it past 40 (best res) or 41 (high single target heal) and put the rest in nurture (buffs).

Only other class used as a healer is the warden. Healer wardens usually spec 49 nurture for 6sec pulsating bladeturn and best resists, and 33 regrowth (on rare occasions even 42). They have no insta's and no spread healing though, but a lot of people consider warden damage output too low to bother with speccing blade/blunt.

I don't know of any healer bards. If a bard has time to heal, it usually means it's not needed ( ;

Mentalists can heal too, don't know much about how useful that is and at what cost (dropping other more useful speclines).

Bards heals are good especially since they get the best grp heal of all the hib classes..

but as Enscep said, hard time sometimes to get them heals off

Menta ments have the biggest heals i belive..

Nah druids got the biggest heals, but due to the size of the manapool mentas can heal quite good (single target heals that is...).

I have a lvl 44 bard that i'm spec'ing for PvE to support my Chanter:

50 Nurture
42 Reg
9 Blunt or so

Will do some RvR as support bard/healer (maybe).

Well my druid heals 800+ with the 41 Reg heal. The lvl 50 one has a base of 667 that's likely to be 900+, if not 1000+. But then if you spec 50 Reg you'll get the top spread heal + 100% insta.

And with 100% insta you're gonna heal tanks for 1600+ (dunno if its affected by buffs). Plus there's WH, with only lvl 2 WH i regualarly crit heal for 50% xtra.

I still reckon Druids are the biggest + best healers.

Well, I rolled a Druid this evening. Sylvan male going by the name of Abeig, running around Domnann at the moment.

Platinum in hearts of fire has a high regrowth spec, though I think shes respecing in 1.62. Regrowth spec bards are excellent for pve

100% insta heal means 100% hps of the tank.... When I used to play my hero, with good buffs I had just over 2200hps, with moose had over 3300hps..... I once got insta healed with a 75% insta heal for over 2000 hps whilst moosed... <looks for screenie>. Think it was Gillaien that did the insta. No menta could beat that ever

Yeah but spankya.. not every group has a weakling like you going down faster than a ... i cant be assed to think of an example.. but you canbe sure its pretty damn fast..

Actually 100% insta heal means 100% of the caster's hp, not the tank's (although it can still crit etc which the one in your example most likely did :>)

I believe the percentage is in relation to the druid's (buffed or unbuffed, I'm not sure) hitpoints.

Actually, 100% insta heal means 125% of the caster's base hp, so if your druid has 1000 hits without any equipment or buffs on, he'll heal for 1250 hits.

This is then also effected by healing RAs such as Mastery of Healing, and Wild Healing.


As for who has can have the biggest heal. The 50 Druid Regrowth heal Greater Apotheosis is 667 delve, so heals for 833 before healing RAs, but is not effected by spec or casting stat. Whereas the 42 Mentalist Mind Mastery heal is 387 delve, but is effected by spec and casting stat aswell as healing RAs... So given good equipment and buffs, this could (probably) heal for 1161 before RAs.

Instant heal percentages are based on the hp of the healer casting the spell, not the target.

My 75% insta *always* heals for 1150 hp.

Only way to go higher than that static number is RA crits/mastery.
