For me there's only one.

Heat. Al Pacino. Robert de Niro. Val Kilmer. The scene in the street right after they rob the bank.

Mindblowing

Matrix lobby scene is class as well. Or the Indiana Jones one where the dude is swinging swords and Indy shoots him - now thats a gun fight :)

Not a 2 sided gunfight either but Aliens where the compound is under attack... beep "20 metres" beep "15 metres" beep "10 metres" beep "5 metres" "No way man thats inside the room" ~cue look up~ Gawd that bit rocks....

Have you ever seen that real life shootout that was uncannily similar to the one in Heat ? Amazing it is!

Nah John woo... since he came and started doing yank films my estimation of him has gone down lots.... not made a good one yet - might have got away with Face/Off if John "Big Jaw McGraw Disco Dancing Grease Monkey Fool" Travolta hadn't been in it - love Nic Cage... cannot stand John "Look at my mulletlike hairdo and my grin that looks like I have been eating Plates" Travolta. He ruined Swordfish as well tbh... He is probably near the top of my list when the revolution comes........

Funnily enough I nearly mentioned that but a lot of people diss that because of Teh muscles from brussels - its his only decent film imo and John Woo's first and only decent american film..

Maybe not the best, but an interesting one is right at the end of Equilibrium where the two clerics trained in the gun martial art. Shame it wasn't a little longer though.

Hmm well aliens where vasques has that huge mofo gun "Lets Rock!!" and where ripley goes bananas at the end with the pulse rifle and the flame thrower while saving newt.

Terminater 2 where theyre in the skynet offices and he has that gun that goes *bloop* and wipes out all the cop cars.

lockstock &2 smoking barrels where the gangs all wipe eachother out.

and not sure if its a "gun" scene but where they nuke the rain forrest to go surfing in apocolypse now.

yeah, on the main street of tombstone, its nice.

but honestly, guy ritchie's REVOLVER where's Sorter gets Wyatt Earp on their ass and wallhack 2k4 has to be best hitman in the history of film.

(also, that Equilibrium seems pwn)

oooh revolver? man that film stank watched it thinking ok this seems like its going somewhere, nope no it isnt, oh dear and the plot really was that simple dang wish i'd rented nanny mcphee now :(

oh yes and how could i have forgotten Dirty Harry ofc! man one of the most famous gun scenes ever:

Ah Ha, I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?

WooHooo Yeah baby!!!!! av it!
