best everglide COLOUR for optical mouse

whats the "best everglide COLOUR for optical mouse" ?

my guess is black, but the blue might be ok ? ? ?

ive currently got one of the normal sized ones in black, but thought i might upgrade to a biggy, so what u think ?

also anyone actually use the ratpads ?
if so, do u rate them better than everglide ?

Black I'd think... ppl seem to prefer ratpads... but I want a medium sized everglide cuz me desk ain't big enuff for a ratpad...

Don't think the colour actually matters.

The optical mouse just needs a pattern to work off (so no shiny mirror style mats).

I had an Intelli Explorer, it was bollox. I used it on my desk (beechwood) with no mat, and it couldn't even track the pattern on that... so how one is going to cope with a plain mousepad, god knows. Still, some people seem to like them...

The only surface my intellieye doesn't work on is the desk, black ash.

Worked fine on a white MSDN freebie pad, works fine on everglide giganta (blue).

Wierd, I tried mine on all sorts of surfaces, including a 3M mousemat (bizarre blue/purple/black pattern), my desk, about 3 other cheapy mousemats (both patterned and plain), and even the back of my copy of "The Tao Of Jeet Kun Do". Was shite on all of them.
