I have a Netgear FA310TX and i had no problems with it. They cost about £15 and support up to 100mbit full duplex, so there's no problem keeping up with ntl :) (the slags:)

Yep thats very good, I have a few of them. They've been replaced by the FA311 now I believe.

I've used many NIC's in the past. The only one I can recommend for fast stable use is the Intel EtherExpress Pro 100/+.

I personally use 3Com 3C905B-TX 10/100 cards. I have 2 in my Linux proxy and 1 in each of my pc's, they do quite well.

I use a 3COM 3C509C-TX and have had no problems using it with the Motorola Surfboard SB3100i.

also 3com 3c905b-tx and surfboard 3100 - when it's good it's very very good, but was playing last night with a diplayed ping of 60ms but a netgraph that looked like a rip saw with say 5 mm teeth, it was unplayable in fact more unplayable than a smooth 240 ms phone line modem.
having a cm is a bit like motorway driving when it's clear you can just drive, when the traffic backs up you can't get off and just have to wait.

YO!

I agree 3Com or Intel NICs are good. worked with both and both are good.
But the cm connexion is only 512kps max...about 4Mbits/s so a 10Mbit card would do yes??
