Yeah, proper good cover that one. Really different but retains something of the original.

Any cover done by Man Or..... Astroman?

They did one for the pixies (Manta Ray) and loads by the Surftones (namely Alpha Surfari). Amazing live band but mainly instrumental other than their later slightly weaker tracks. If you can imagine surf music from the 60's, speeded up a few hundred beats per second with warped ancient science fiction overtones you will love them. Oh and a rather splendid cover of Destination Venus by the Rezillos

PJ Harvey & Bjork, I Can't Get No Satisfaction

Is this available on an album anywhere? Heard it live on some lame award show and it was awesome.

Best cover, other than the above, 'Live and Let Die' by Guns and Roses. I normally hate covers, and Guns and Roses if I'm honest about it, but that one really flicked my switch.

Going to have to agree with FuzzyLogic and Reactor - Street Spirit by The Darkness is classic, and not just for comedy value.

I've never quite understood this. William Orbit's "cover" of this piece of music is merely the original composition played with synthetic strings - nothing else modified, added or taken away. You could barely call it a cover at all.

When Ferry Corsten's dance version was released it was done so under William Orbit's name, but not for any good reason.

The Man Who Sold the World is an absolute stunner. Nirvana really made that one their own.

That's a truly atrocious cover. They've taken a pretty decent pop song and taken all the good stuff out of it.

This is a truly atrocious opinion. You've taken an awesome cover and suggested the original Justin Timberland version is better.

No cover could ever be worse than 'The Fog on The Tyne' by Paul Gascoigne. Nothing else even comes close in terms of bowel opening awfulness.

Paint it Black by Fennez (EP: Plays)
A much covered song and I think the version by Inkkubus Sukkubus is pretty good.
