Best Class for BG's

Hi,

I was just wondering what were considered the best classes in the 20-24 BG's, and the most fun to play. I have been considering starting a Runey to play there, but will I just be asking to get PA'd every five minutes (including horse ride time)

Thanks for you comments

Hmm, let's see...if you're talking Thidranki...then I'd go with:

Midgard:

Shadowblade (in various formats)
Skald
Hunter
Thane
Runie...

Hibernia:

Nightshade
Ranger
Enchanter?

Albion

Infiltrator
Scout
Minstrel
Smite Cleric
Wizard
...

Notice, that it's a stealthers paradise. It's like dropping Bessy into that cage in Jurasic Park...there are borders, and you have only one safe spot. (maybe two). Notice that I left all but one "healer" class off there. Because the BG's are a mess, and any mezz class has to be part of the action, or watch the mezz broken by some overeager archer or fighter that gets there first and thinks they can take down the mezzed person solo.

Good luck trying a runie. I suggest speaking to Etzl about it. He seemed to play it quite effectively in Thidranki.

i play a 3 spec cleric
i have a insta heal
nice buffs (650 hps...i can survive 3 PA's)
and a nice damage add and PBAOE mez and stun....own any class 1 v 1 :)

Skalds also seem to have alot of fun so i'd make one of them too :)

I have a great time playing my spiritmaster in the bg. Sure, I get assassinated now and then, but not as much as you actually would believe. I don't know if the infs are afraid of my pet, or perhaps my ability to use lifestealing nukes. Those are great btw. I'm usually ready most of the time for backstabs/pa's. If an inf tries it, and I don't go down in one hit, i just hit quickcast and the lifestealer. Has been a lifesaver a few times I must tell you.. ;)

Ah, that sounds good, about the Spiritmaster... I've been thinking of creating one myself, but I haven't been sure if it is any good...
Perhaps I'll create one after my 2'nd hunter...

It's the pet :) killing a pet class is pretty risky - either you kill him or he kills you. You dont run away and restealth if you fail.

I wouldn't bother with minstrel tbh, it's not really developed enough for solo sneaking at level 20-24, you don't have a good enough stun, and if you have enough stealth to sneak your weapon / instru spec will suck.
