best athlon motherboard?

I came into a 'bit' of mnoney a couple of weeks back and i'm looking to by a nice overclocked athlon, so i have usual problem of WHAT IS THE BEST MOBO?

I have been looking at the new Via KV133 chipset based boards but i cannot find many if any of them available in the UK now at a good price.

so m8s i was hoping for some good advice before i part with the cash

i was looking at a 550 - 650 overclocked to about 750Mhz and PC133 Ram - hence the chipset.

the Asus KV7 uses the VIA KX133 chipset too, and its the first mb ive seen available in my area (manchester), what u lot think of it ?

also will the VIA KX133 chipset/mb's (K7V i particular) support the AMD Thunderbird cpu, when it finally appears ?

if i could stick a cheapy 600 in for a few mths then upgrade to a quick one .......

Asus KV7 or Abit KA7 - Look at dabs for them.

I don't think the thunderbird will work in a present KX133 mobo, however I have read that it should be possible with a new revision of the KX133 chipset. Obviously though, if you buy a KX133 board now, you aint gonna have the newer revision chipset

Oh yea, VIA are gonna make DDR ram mobo's - they will seriously kick ass and be the No.1 choice for thunderbird users.

Well I'm here, the thunderbird will debut at an initial speed of 1.25GHz

Yep. Allegedly the 25th of this month. Take it with a pinch of salt though - niether nvidia or 3dfx have recently stuck to announced dates with the V3/TNT2/GeForce
