Berzerker spec

hey guys, It'll be a while before I hit 50, but when I do, I also wanna roll a (troll) berzerker, now I was thinking about him going for shield + sword. does anyone have experience with that?

You can't go Shield as a Berserker.

You can't spec in it, but can carry one... well.. it says as ability on my m8's zerk "small shields"
thought it would've been good for a defensive playing style, with parry high and sword high

I don't feel like going hammer atm, cos I've been playing with hammers far too long with my healer but who knows how I'll think once I'm 50 anyways

small shield give 15% change to block attack whats targeted to you, nothing else.
as zerk you cannot guard anybody whit small shield.
zerk is pure dmg dealer, nothing else, if you wanna protect seers? etc go warrior.
warrior anyway have more utility and 2h dmg comparing zerk.
copple patch ago mythic rised warriors base dmg.

in time! zerk will do more dmg comparing 2h<>laxe user, not in 1st hit.

50 sword 50 LA 28 parry

Use LA mostly but when Frenzy spam regnorak for verg high dmg move and hope for a 99% crit . 1400+ is possible ^^

thought of that spec too, but I'd rather have parry higher... so that's why I thought to get rid of LA and take shield

i know a freind that had 50LA 50Parry 28Axe (or whatever at that lvl doesnt really matter )

with mastery of parrying 3... he was uber, beat my warrior in duels nearly all the time even with gimped sc armour.. when i roll a zerk ill be going that spec

With hammer next patch, you get a backstyle snare, so its a free Prevent Flight, wich costs about 14 ra points, does good damage too.

Or was it this patch?

this is duel spec, nothing more, nothing less.
my zerk is traditional 50laxe/50axe/29parry and doing great in farming/pl.
parrying alott, hitting hard whit reactionaries.
have farm diamonds in df whit 44 bott, killed purple/orange same time (need use ip because shammy wasnt able heal fast enough ) using epic, whit sc suit, what dont bother use farming, do alott better.

zerk is crap in duels! worst class in midgard, close worst class whole daoc? other light tanks beat zerk easily if use dt/tw.
personally i am proud because have copple time beat bone, after nerf tryed once and did get close but not enough
must love bone´s who run away and give change charge/vendo and backpositional.

I admid klav, I'm a noobie with melee chars just thought it might've been effective with zerk mode and all... ya know... I mean.. it's not how fast you kill the enemy. it's that you kill it

Parry helps for farming in DF alot.

that spec wont work in RvR since noone will hit u where u can parry

Maybe if ur going to solo

hmm 28axe? wouldn't 29 be better for havoc at least?

wouldn't recomend specing weapon lower then 39 on most classes really
