Beeping

I've disabled a load of sounds in Windows, but now I get the PC SPeaker beeping on some events instead. E.g. if I change the volume on the Volume Control (hold down single click pop up) the PC Speaker beeps.

Same in Windows Messenger.

Anyone know how to stop this misbehaving?

Yup, find the LEDs on your motherboard, find the red and black wire which have the name "Speaker" on it and rip it out. If that doesn't work, give your motherboard a nice kick
