Be careful who you slag off on the internet

So over on the rugby forums I use, there is a player for Leeds who I am continually slagging off, calling him a waster, thug, talentless, cheap shot merchant, bully and other jibes. Its all true though, he is a chav bully who just happens to be very good at rugby.

As it turns out, he reads said forum and issued me a challenge to a boxing match through a third party, at a charity boxing event later on in the year. 3, 3 minute rounds, with head gear obviously.

lol hes 6"4 and 17 stone of solid muscle. He would make mincemeat out of me in about 20 seconds. How do I get out of this without losing face lol

I'd fight him - no matter what he does he comes off looking like a thug (he backs off, proving he was making empty threats. OR he fights you, pastes you to hell and back, which given the fact you aren't a 6ft 200lbs monster, makes him look like a thug).

Either way you come off as being right.

I suppose it just depends whether saving face matters to you more than getting a few bruises and a cut lip (which is all you'll get at a charity match).

Yes you do, you are slagging him off for being a thug, bully etc. Why does that mean you have to fight him if he challenges you?

Why not another sports competition other than boxing. He just wants to hit you legally because he can not answer your taunts in any other way.

Nah, you just need to get the upper hand somehow. Even it out with any dirty trick available. Take some speed, dip the boxing gloves in something before you go up etc etc.

I'd find a friendly boxer who knows what they're doing and get them to pretend to be you, I hear Tyson's a bit broke at the moment and up for most things.

Then laugh as his slow ungainly body gets a beating.

Really though he's just proving your point... just because he's big and the fact that he could quite probably take you out in a boxing match doesn't mean you have to do it to save face. He's spent his life trying to build up strength and you haven't... what would it prove? That he likes to pick up unfair challenges? It doesn't make him any less of an egotistical bully.

I think that the internetz has become a bit too much of a "f*ck you simulator" and if they introduced the new "kick in balls" usb equipment for you to use to get on the internet, it'd make things a lot more civil
