Anyone know anything about this? Briefly caught a trailer from the corner of my eye the other day and it looked quite good.

I may be mistaken, but it looked like an Ultraviolet-style gritty 'n' realistic take on the whole demons thing?

Last time the BBC built up a sci-fi series it was Taken. They made me all excited and then it was utter pants, so I'm not holding out too much hope!

Taken was utter shite, no doubt about it. Not seen the advert for Strange, or whatever, but I have seen the eeeeeeevil advert that states "everyone likes to watch" - goddamn thats poor taste.

It's got Samantha Janus in it. It might be worth it jsut to see how far she can open her gob when she screams.

Samantha Janus is a housewife with a kid who inadvertently gets caught up with a Demon hunter...

Sounds a bit Buffy a la Dr Who style :$

I think they did a pilot episode for Strange about a year ago. Had the strange bloke from Coupling in it as the hunter and Sam Janus as the wife of a guy that turned out to be one of these demons.

They killed him with electricity I think. Didn't have much in the way of good characters and the storyline was pretty weak.

I put it down to 2nd rate writing.

Oh and Taken is ok as long as you watch it over one evening, like I did last Saturday night. I enjoyed it quite a lot.

aha! I remember seeing the pilot of Strange. Wasn't that bad really, but I doubt I'd watch it again.

If the tagline is "Everyone likes to watch", they should just have a couple shagging with some peeping Tom up in a tree somewhere :)
