BBC Game reviews

I sometimes think some 14 year old just copies stuff out of the games manual to come up with the review content for these.

This is from the Halo review

In one case, the crash led to the so-called "blue screen of death", something that does not happen with XP.

Something that does not happen with Windows Xp eh? Does this guy do PR for Microshaft?
And the KOTOR review is just so bland.
I know the BBCi isn't a games review site and if I want a real review I should try blah blah blah site, but this is one area I think the BBCi could improve their technology site.
After all, if BT are pushing games to help sell broadband then maybe they should improve the review content at least.

ahh i see , so when my computer crashes and i get the blue screen of death on xp im not actaully getting it . I never knew my imagination was so good.

I have. It's usually something physical rather than a problem with Win32 software.

I'd say it BSOD's no more than XP.

The reason that XP claims to have completely removed the BSOD is that, by default, XP reboots your computer immediately upon a fatal error.

mine doesn't :/ I've been seeing lots of bsods lately, up to about one every two days. I seriously need to reinstall XP

me neither, just note that those games reviews aren't meant for gamers. They still stink though.

Plenty of gaming sites already exist with a large database of reviews. Gamespot being one. The last review from the bbc site that I read slagged off metroid prime for being a poor first person shooter. I mean :/ wtf.
