OK what was everyones favourite BBC/acorn electron/Commodore 64 game. Personally, Repton, Chuckie Egg and Manic Minor ruled. And who remembers Grannys Garden? Oh I miss the days of loading games on a computer with a darn tape player. Check out the BBC emulators/ROMs on the net.

You are obviously a sick individual for putting any game ahead of Elite..THE game for the BBC :)

sorry.. i have to agree. elite was umm.. 3l33t :). all those polygons, and the state of the art hidden line removal. wow. and the game itself was huuuuuuuuuuge. all on a 720k floppy was it? i'd like to see any modern game beat that :)

grannys garden.. hmm used to play that at school.. that puzzle you had to do to get throught the gate was annoying. and repton was cool too.

oh and on the c64.. sly spy secrent agent. great!

Of course *everybody* knows that the machine to have, at that time, was the Dragon32/64.

Chuckie Egg was good on any platform (no pun intended!), and Manic Miner will never be beaten for it's sheer 'just-one-more-go' factor.

I nearly bought a BBC, but was put off by that 'programming' programme that was on BBC1. Anyone else remember that?

I could only ever get to level 4 on Manic Minor - can anyone beat that! Level 2 had 2 penguins, level 3 had 3 emus, 4 - never got no further. Anyone know of a good emulator/games download site for all these BBC games, the ones I have seen are crap.

Turrican on the Amiga, now that was a good game. Chuckie Egg on my Spectrum, and Wheelie too, Spy Hunter, Elite, anything by Codemasters. I had a racing game on my Atari 800XL that I have never seen bettered on any platform, but I can't remember it's name. Still got it up in the loft.
