You're not the only one to spot this, no fear. Barrysworld busy running a 'damage limitation' exercise now as it turned out to be a bit of a non starter.

DeathAce didn't like it.

I did. I rather enjoyed it. Admittedly the organisation lacked a bit, but so what? BattleTop organised it, BarrysWorld stumped up some cash for prize money. The tournaments were arranged by BattleTop and administered by Eurogamer using Toast. Compere functions were supplied by Aleks from Bits (arranged by BattleTop), and the DJing was from SubSpace (arranged by BattleTop). The realTV feed was done by lord knows who.

And BarrysWorld stumped up some prizemoney.

So I fail to see the spin in DeathAce's column.

PS: I was wearing a VIP badge - which meant I was there to eat the free food and drink the free drink. I organised nothing, did no work and had no input at all. It was quiteliberating actually.

Tell me something - who gets the blame if a Formula One race is badly organised? Bridgestone? They are after all sponsors...

hmm ... maybe you guys should have done more than enjoy the free drink - i mean this event had your name attached to it and you were managing a load of qtv servers

and how much money that could have been used for game servers was spent paying winners who will most likely "come home early"?
