Battlegrounds - thoughts?

I headed out on the 25-29 battleground last night and easily had my best time ever in RvR. In the past, I'd picked up a Realm Point of two with groups typically higher level characters, but it was great being able to contribute as an equal for a change. There was a thrill in sending off a bolt, thinking to myself "that troll is so dead."

Sadly, the fighting was a bit uncoordinated as many/most of the players on all sides had little experience, but it was great nonetheless. I didn't mind being face down so much, knowing that I had a fair chance to do the same to the players from the other realms.

What was everyone else's impression? Worthwhile?

Yes m8, this is very good for us low lvl players, as now we can have our own RvR training untill we reach the lvls for real RvR. I was there since our keep fell in the hands of the Mids. I made some scout by myself and then relog after some time, when some of us trried to take back the keep.

If those guards weren't there we could have made something, but then Albs came from behind and we were kicked hard. One point i want to make is that the Mids had already their own siege machine, a ram i think, but they were not so many. We tried to cordinate a little but we lack of experiance and leaders. Also most of us were too excited and we run into the battle without having any problem to kill ourselves, lol!!

Myself killed many dwarves, some trolls and some saracens, have my 70 Realm points already but I will use this as a training ground while keep my priority on lvling.

I hope we meet there m8 and fight side by side!

Well this is gunna sound very n00bie like.... so bare with me.... hehehehe

I've read about the separate battlegrounds for varying levels of players some time back...

I'm a level 21 Champion in hibernia, prydwen presently and at the moment I have no idea at all how to get to any RvR areas of any kind.....

Could anyone post some basic details of what levels these areas cater for and where I could find them... posts on here or even links to websites would be great thanks!

Also some basic on general RvR would be great too.....

I think you all generally get the idea..... just anything to help me out really...

Oh and btw!!! COMEON HIBBIES!!! LETS GET SLAUGHTERING THE OTHER REALMS

It's quite simple, actually. Just follow the road out of ardee to the north. Cross the bridge and through Basar. Eventually you'll reach a castle, the fabled Druim Ligen. There you buy a Medaillon from a Merchant, you put it on, stand on the platform and wait for the mages to orb you to the battlegrounds! Very easy.
RvR tip: never go out alone, especially not in the BG.

Went for a hide and run look around some of midgard one time...

So now I can just buy a medalion to the battlegrounds?

Are you Hibs sure you are using the right medallion because its kinda rare to spot you.

Aye, an ickle keen backstabbed me in the middle of about 10 albions.......who promptly ran after it for a minute and killed it in the water(with some of my fireworks ). My guildie Miror killed another keen NS on the hibernian bridge.

Thoughts? How about very very phun

Unfortunately not many of us come out there to play, last night we were just a group of 5-6 and in our first try to reach the keep we were attacked by Mids. We took down two of them but after that we died in a perfect way.

I hope we will be more active time by time. We need to get there and try to cordinate and learn how to fight in RvR. Of course our first objective has to be lvling, but we can defend our realm too.

umm i love battlegrounds , but the only thing that makes me a bit unhappy is that there arent many Hibbis at Caledonia (30-35 BG) . So i have been there like 4 times and biggest number of hibbis i met was about 10, while u know, albis and middis had twice of our numbers each..
anyway hibbis get ur arse to BG, especially those at 30-35

simple reason you dont see many hibernians......there are very few of us full stop. so why we should be able to come out in the numbers albions and middies do is beyond me, i have been to the 30-35 battlegrounds a fair few times and never seen another hibernian.
as the matter of fact the last two times i was there i didnt see anyone, im beggining to wonder if the 30-35 battlegrounds are used at all....
what time does everyone go there?
