I suppose people can't complain at £5.99 more maps etc nothing wrong with a lil price tag.

hmm I'm a bit miffed tbh. these things used to be free, though having said that new vehicles are nice. 5.99 won't break my bank. much ;)

'reasonable price' !!!

Half Life 2 have been giving this stuff away for FREE.

Why did we just get an addon pack for £15 for 8 maps (of which at least 3 are total RUBBISH) and some new stuff and now release ANOTHER addon pack.

It just splits the community even more, servers will run this new stuff, people wont buy it and some people will... :twak:

I would also like them to FIX THE GAME first so that I can play it. I havent bothered to try in over 2 weeks as I have been getting a 'disconnected from server' message.

I HATE EA. :puke:

I will still buy their future games. :(

I also agree with Kevin...

I bought BF2 and enjoyed it but Ive not played it since the release of the 2nd patch and I doubt I will play it again as its just too buggy....

Buggy in what way? ive yet to see any real game breaking bugs? if any bugs at all? i'm not being a fanboi here but the game runs flawlessly for me so can you explain the bugs that plague you?

The one that ruins it for me is I can join a server and after say 30 seconds it just says 'you have been disconnected from the server'.

e.g. I was able to play yesterday morning but I tried in the afternoon and I kept getting that message.

This all happened since the latest patch.

Random crashes to desktop?
Complete screen freeze on night maps sometimes?

Loads of minor bugs:
1. Constantly respawning US arty on Dragon Valley
2. The red tag/blue tag problem (which has been there since day one)
3. Wall bugs - the crates in the C5 on 'Night Flight' where you can get inside and shoot out but can't be shot from outside.
etc. etc.

I'm a big fan of the game, but pretending it's bug-free is just ludicrous.

Random Crashes is most likely a driver issue your end i had this sometimes updated my drivers now i don't crash but every PC is different.

Never had the freeze screen yet.

I don't go on dragon valley that much so don't know.

Yes ive experianced red/blue tag.

Wall bugs there is really only that wall bug.

The bugs you guys are complaining about aren't really game breaking either.

Maybe i'm just incredibly lucky not to experiance these game breaking bugs. Overall BF2 is a polished game yes there are bugs but if only a few people are experiancing the disconnect problems etc its not a problem with the game its their end.

You cant connect to a server via ASE or gayspy or whatever.
Catsby uses ASE and Gayspy to connect to BF2 servers.

Castby directs you to this link for ASE (For Gamespy use the same command line trick)
http://ase.staticservers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=291

Catsby highly recommends going into your BF2 folder -> Mods -> BF2 -> Movies: and renaming all the .bik files to prevent them from holding up the BF2 loading when using a game browser, if you have SF as well, do the same for BF2->Mods->xpack -> Movies.

Catbsy is as ever, at your service.

TdC directs Catsby to open the shortcut to BF2 and enter +menu 1 +restart 1 after the path to the BF2 exe and outside the "". then Catsby will not see the movies even if they are still named as they were originally.

TdC isn't at your service, but he's glad to help out.

Mmm, actually that shortcut worked Catsby, so nice one you strangly self obsessed little person.
I went on, I played for a map, it was ok tbh, then... "your connection to the server has been lost".
lol :)

*sigh* My drivers are up to date and I never had any problems (other than occasional lag) until the most recent patch. I also never had a screen freeze until the latest patch. I never crashed to desktop, until the latest patch. I know exactly what's causing it, I need 2GB of RAM, rather than the 1GB I'm currently running. The fact that 2GB is now a requirement to run the game properly, rather than just an improvement, isn't very good, and for people who can't afford to fork out £100 -odd quid for new RAM, I'd say yes, it is "game-breaking".

The wall bug (exploit, whatever) is possible elsewhere, but just not as easy.

Just because you've never experienced problems doesn't mean they don't exist; in fact I'd say you were fekkin lucky because almost everyone I know has had some problems with the game at some point. It's a testament to how enjoyable the game is that so many people stick with it, but please, don't come on here and describe the game as 'polished' because its a long way from that.

I'll still buy the boosters, because £5.99 isn't a big deal for the amount of entertainment I get out of the game, and the second one (the armour one) is really my thing; I was a huge fan of the tank-dominated maps in DC, which is something I've missed in the current game. I am concerned that there won't be many places running the maps though.

Upgrade to 2GIG asap since i upgraded to 2GIG the game is a dream no framerate shit lag no nothing.

2GIG will be standard half way through the year.

I'm not saying there is no problems but PC gaming isn't simple a game will work great on one computer and shit on another even if they are the same spec etc.

The game is great.

The game is buggy as shit.

Both of these statements are true.
