server issues aside the game is brilliant, the sound effects are absolutely amazing the sound of fighters going right over you is awesome. Also firefights in the distance shots and explosions can all be heard and sound really cool.

The amount this will sell will ensure future map packs are released.

I love the map that is formed as a U. You can hide in the bushes and snipe the enemies on the other side

the game was 1200 ms points, yet worth more than all the other arcade games together. I don't see the problem really.

Boo hoo, 5 quid for some extra maps? Seriously what's a fiver for hours and hours of fun?

I've already clocked over 10 hours on this game it takes me right back to 2002 when i was just getting into online gaming I saw 1942 on a shelf when it released and wondered what the hell it was!

I hope they bring out the Africa maps next.

Bad company 2 is still another 7-8 months away afaik.

Same problem here, Don't think they have Destroyers and subs but I hope they add them later to give it the full 1942 feel.

I played it for ages, and the one that came after it. Cant remember what the next one was called, but it was one of the best FPS online Ive played, behind CoD.

Finallt got a go last night, its def a BF game with well over half the team waiting for planes and the rest actually doin the work lol, Two other people and me were the only ones who got any points in the match. I have gone back to BF Bad Company with no airplanes people actually play the game instead of waiting for planes to respawn.

People quickly get bored of camping the planes when they get shot down by the AA guns which for once actually work in a BF game.

Been playing this all day it's freaking awesome and the classic OMFG LOL moments that only BF can bring you.

BW BF1942 servers could never gain critical mass, elsewhere servers were loaded.

Tried the demo on PS3 last night and it's just as bad as I remember BF1942 being. Also Have they improved the graphics at all ? Doesn't seem so on PS3. It looks really lo-res and not anti-aliased.

(There may be slightly more lighting effects but meh)
