Battle grounds, please explain...

I hit lvl 24 with my Cleric last night
On Excal, Albion.

So, I'm gonna try out the BG's now..


First of all....Where is the entrance to them?
How does it work?
Should I go with a group , or join a group there?
Don't I need to buy some sort of amulet or something?
Is the XP any good?
Anything else I need to know?

BGs are the newbs/alts RvR arenas As an Alb you go to Castle Sauvage, procure a medallion for the BGs from the merchant next to the stonepad, equip it and stand on the pad till the mages teleport you off

As a cleric grouping is definetely preferable at this level XP? Rather poo, but you're not supposed to XP, you're supposed to KEEL THE BLOODY MIDS/HIBS! Cough

Can't I just find a group there? or is is pretty much combat as soon as you turn up?

15 s for a medallion for the regular frontiers, guess it's the same for the BGs. And you can group up there

Don't worry. They can't gank you as soon as you appear. When you die to a hib/mid/realm guard <all the guards there> you don't loose exp. But you don't gain exp either. Instead you gain Realm Points which you'll be able to spend in some patch soon <1.50?> to get cool new abilities. The price for dieing is either rezz sickness for 5 minutes as usually or, if you don't get a rezz, running all the way back to Castle Sauvage and missing all the action for a while

Once you get 300 realm points or reach lvl 25 you'll have to go to the next bg.

It has the big advantage over normal RvR that keep raids aren't played at 3 frames per minute You'll learn to love it there, even if it's abit quiet early on in the day.

Oh, I didn't know I couldn't goto the BG from lvl 25..
I thought it was 24 - 34 or something....

Where's the next lvl BG's then?

20-24, 25-29 and 30-35 as far as i can remember.

Same as for the 20-24... the game 'knows' what level you are and teleports you to the BG of your level.

In a forum, we can discuss anything we want to.
I KNOW I could read the patch notes.
But SOME of the information here I was asking for was personal views on subjects.
If you don't like what I'm asking, then don't click on the thread.
It was pretty clear what I was asking from the thread title.
So you could have just avoided the thread entirely and saved yourself the trouble of replying in here.

Fairly sure it's 15 Then again i havn't looked at the cost since BETA, soy uo never know.

For your info the 30-35 BG's in Excalibur are almost dead, Ive been every few hours for a week now and had 1 encounter, mostly I've been the only Hib in there
But when they are full they are the best RVR fun you can have, no ganking by high levels and a genuine enthusiasm on all sides to have a laugh.
