if you ask me it is second impression, he got the first impression from the 'new guild' thread.

And his impression would be right, generally we are a bunch of evil bastards who like nothing more than tormenting newbies... also, if you look at the replies in the 'new guild' thread he doesn't listen to advice (good or otherwise) and thus in my eyes people who don't listen to good people trying to help you out don't deserve an easy ride.
