Well I want to learn drums, but they're way to expensive so does anyone know roughly how difficult it would be to learn Bass Guitar? :)

I think metal/rock would be the hardest :p

Jazz, always hardest. But then again, that's just if you want it to sound good. Generally it's true when it comes to the rhytmsection atleast.

Why would it be hard? Take a guitar, make it more rhytm focused and you have a bass. Then comes the question on how to play, with only your fingers or a pick. But then again, you are better of asking someone who knows shit about it and not just rambles on and on about things he thinks he knows.

metal and rock is pretty easy to play on bass cos you ussually just have to chug along on a few different notes

Cool, I think I'm going to give it a go. Friend told me about this new music channel on SKY which has lessons and that, meant to be quite useful. Now I need to get hold of a cheap instrument. :)

A lot of Bass tracks are perfect for beginners, but there are more advanced ones to keep you busy later on ofcourse.
