A while back, i was kb'ed from this chanel, and i was never told why.

i went in there to ask a question, and as soon as i entered the channel i was banned.

I want to know why.

I dont recall who did it, but i think it was a user by the name of barrysomething. his name gave the impression of the owner....

any insight into this would be appreciated

The channel bot ^Barry^ will autokick for certain on-join scripts as well as an Open Socks proxy. The reason why should be in the kick message when you join the channel.
