Why can't i add master servers for UT in Gamespy 3d, when i right click the game icon the "Add master server" command is grayed out.

I noticed this problem as well, in fact the ability to update from *master servers* for ut has never been in gamespy, when i found this problem i went to go and find out, i was told it was never coded in and had never been a requested feature (mail feedback@gamespy.com if u want to, see if it helps). It doesnt appear to be in pingtool either (tho i may have missed this) :(. There is also a web address for the bw master server so just use that (its right next to the ut master server on the bw master servers page).

If anyone knows of a good server bowsing proggy that will update from master servers pls let me know, and include a url so i can get it :).

I agree. I have both and Pingtool is better for UT than Gamespy. It's better for Q3 servers as well.

You could also try UT Watcher, which, as the name suggests, is written specifically for UT. It's not intended for doing what you asked for, i.e. checking out master servers, but it's good for maintaining and checking out your "favourite" servers:

However, the built-in Server Browser in UT is very good so why use anything else? :)
