Barrrysworld subscription based?

A few clan members have posted on our forum that they have heard or read rumours that Barrys is becoming a Subscription based service?

How is this (if its true) gonna affect those that already hire/lease own a Barryserver ?

Will those barryservers be available to those that dont subcribe to Barrys

This is all based on here say - just want some confirmation as £110 for a public server that is only available to subcribers only isnt public etc

Good question - I guess barryservers will be free to play on, or they could give away x number of subscriptions with each server?

BW has always been 'becoming' a subscription based service hasn't it?

BW has planned for ages to become P2P(Pay 2 Play) service.

It shouldn't affect those already with BarryServers at all.

I think it was mentioned that the BarryServers with the Public Option will remain outside the P2P arena, although I can't exactly remember.

AFAIK Rented servers will always stay outside the P2P service. This includes those that have been purchased with the public option.

Barryservers will be available to all and sundry regardless of their subscribing or not to BW. Also, I dont think you will need to subscribe to rent a BarryServer.

Barrysworld are moving to subscription on the same day that Duke Nukem Forever is released.

Yes, we are moving towards subscription and Yes, BarryServers will be outside subscription for obvious reasons.

What our subscription package will consist of and what it will cost are both not for public debate at the moment, sorry.
