Bard RA's?

Purge, AugAcuity 3, MoArt 2-3, Wild Healing 1-2, MCL, AM, Avoid. of Magic 1-2.... that should keep you busy the first few realm-ranks. I wouldn't bother with IP.

wild healing.... the few runs i did in rvr i hardly had a chance to heal :\ while IP might save your life

I got purge first, then AM. I have 4 points spare now which I'll get mcl with. After that, its mota1, aom1, mota2, aom2, mota3.

I'll be rr5-6 when I get all that :p After that I spose I'll get some healing RA's, or toughness.. I'll see when I get those important ra's first ;o

make sure you get AM - its better now than ever before.

serenity 2, mcl ofcourse

purge if you lead the rvr'ers is useful for the obvious reason although i find that you are spammed with so much someone inevitably breaks it :)

avoid magic 2 is a big yes yes

wild healing - 1 point for the chance to heal for around 600 ??!?! :)

mastery of the art to decrease cast time is worth going for when you have the above.

as for IP i dont have it myself but i reckon that if i ever had to use it -- its coz ive got 4 savages on me and im dead anyway..

Purge, AM, MCL2, aug Ac 3, mota 3, longwind 1, serenity 1, aug Qui 2, Dodger so far...

when you get to rr10 you'll be respeccing RAs to dump all the shit like dodger, wild healing, blah blah :]

too much to get to simply bring us up to par and on a competitive level, to squander it.

No comment about wild healing (havent tried it) but aug con 1 does next to nothing, and toughness hardly any more. Both on my 'dont get under any circumstance even if they just cost 1pt list'.

k guess dodger is naff, though it did something fancy like advanced evade :/

People seem to agree on purge, am, mcl/2, serenity 2. Ip is obviously nice if youve got the basics. What does a rr10 bard get to bring you up to par and on a competitive level?

I guess mota is 'ok' and the choice to get a mezz off a tiny bit faster, but a few percent increase in cast time is only really great if your chaining the same spell over and over (DD,DD,DD etc) nice for a mage but not quite as good for a bard (though I guess theres nothing better?).

i think the buff system is fucked atm.. getting abnormal results from the same buffs from same druids.. different dex etc..

but anyway, my dex with the UBERESt of buffs.. gets to 301 dex..

i have mastery of the art 3.. i cast so damn fast i can cast inside the interrupt code and not be interrupted..

but compare this to an inconnu sorc.. 1850 range.. lets say he gets the same stuff.. same crazy buffs.. he's gonna have easily 350 or so dex and mastery of the art, he'll be chucking ae mezz so fast he can afford to relax..

why chuck 1 point on wild healing..? you will need it at the end for aug dex, or build up to mastery of the art..

or for IP.. when every spastic retard thinks BARD MUST KEEL even when the bard is solo and there is a grp of mids pounding on his support..
that lute and drum is a huge disability..

purge..

when that obessive paladin slams you for all his buddies.. or when you are mezzed and you can purge safely with a superb counter mezz..

AM.. when you're in an almost equal combat situation... or when your grp health is decreasing.. this will flip the switch for a bit.. can turn the tide sometimes.. helps your druids out too.. faced against VP, savages blah blah..

Aom.. (i have 3).. cut the time that duration based spells last on you.. disease, mezz, stun blah blah.. decrease of damage..

but the cast time is critical for a bard.. its equivalent to frontload.. its the initial hit thats important.. who gets CC'ed and disadvantaged first, your tanks get immobolised and unable to reach their healers? or vice versa.. your grp gets a few seconds to adjust for combat, target apporpiate classes, spread out, etc etc

serenity is useless unless you wanna pve regularly

by competitive level.. i mean being able to aggressively compete with the other realms in terms of doing what your primary functions are.. end song.. cc..
