Bard questions

Ok. Im gonna kit my bard, but ive got no clue about the class so i need some help.

First of all i need a template. Ive looked at a few templates over at www.daoctemplates.net, but i have no idea which templates have the "required" artifacs and stats\bonuses.

So my first question is:
1 - Does anybody have a decent bardtemplate containing the necessary artifacts and decent stats\bonuses with pref. few or no expensive items ?

Aswell as spec. I'm gonna duo a bit with it aswell as try my luck with groups.
2 - Could somebody give me a decent spec both doable for duo and group purpose ?

Would appreciate some info about spec and templates - and anything else i would need before starting to play my bard

101 dex, capped cast speed/range, spell dur if possible... as high charisma as possible ....

well, thats what i think.. i only have a lvl 31 bard that i havent played for years... so dunno

Specs :
33 reg/43 nurt/37 music
16 reg/43 nurt/47 music

are one of the 2 best specs around.... i myself would take first... and its good when u duo allso

Stil, I want some feedback from someone who's playing or recently played bard about what they feel is necessary (artis\bonuses.etc.) , and which spec to use.

Low rr you want 47 music IMO. You won't have purge3/sos etc. so winning that mezz, even if its with your AE Instant is critical.

Higher rr (4-5+) you should drop to 37 music and go 33 reg. With this spec, you will need MoF2/3 otherwise the mezzes resist like a bitch. 33 reg. offers 400 ish point heals (mine cap at 413) and I have critted occasionally for 750-800.

As for RA's -> SoS1, MoC1, Purge2/3 are the ones you really want to press on. At 5L8 I am spec'd: MoC1, SoS1, Purge3, MoF2, WH1 and some other passives.

Template wise you DEFFO want:

Champ harp (mcl2 use)
Zo' (obvious),
CB (mezz feedback -> if you concentrate enough when playing a bard, that split second between seeing 'your feedback resists the spell' and enemy landing second mezz is enough time for you to hit SoS),


Personally, I think you DEFFO need these too but its debateable:

JS (the /use2 doesnt work but the siphon does. When it procs, it is heaven ^^)
EoY (never say no to a 3rd/4th aoe free rezz)
WH (this is highly underused. marrro hit me for 150 damage instead of his usual 600 ish with his positionals - very sexual)
CTR (damage reduction + aoe shit - self explainatory )

If you're making your own bard template then you generally want:

101 dex, 75+ con, 200+ hits, 65+ char
most resists capped (energy/matter can be heavily neglected if need be).
10% spell range / 10% casting speed / 10%+ spell duration / 30%+ powerpool

this is the template than i have on my bard, imho isn't too hardly, except traldor's belt and immolated ring....for the spec i don't remember and now i can see it....Two-Handed
