Banks

Aren't banks utter twats?

Scheming fiendish little minds at work in them.

I received a phone call yesterday asking me to come in for a review. The woman was a bit off with me which was a suprise because the bank have been licking my arse lately.

Went in today and said woman's tone changed the nano second she pulled up my details and saw that I had ASKED for the review and wasn't a "n0rty" customer.

I presently have a nice setup living with some friends that I've known since school. I pay a ridiculously low rent to my friend that owns it and as we all know each other so well its not your standard shared house (ie. arguing over total shite).

Anyway I'm considering buying a house but am in no rush due to the above.

The way this rough old slapper proceeded to treat me like Mr Average Thick Fucker, ie. patronising but with lots of smiles and hopefully throwing figures at me, was so laughable.

I gave her all the right answers and proceeded to swindle her into thinking I would take a mortgage out with the bank (when I would rather stab myself in the eyes with wij's c0ck ahem). The daft mare has now extended my credit card limit by fuckloads (which I dont plan on using but hey), has sweetened my present (small) loan arrangement and basically chucked loads of goodies at me. She did all this and then I got up 10 mins before we were due to finish and I said "thanks but maybe in a couple of years" and got a Darth Vader death stare off her.

Fuck...Off...muhahahhaha.

I'm lucky enough to be in a ultra secure job. 10 years ago I was homeless, how the banks fucking change their tune with you. Cunts :)

So, you _are_ going for the bank mortgage afterwards then ? Make sure you wipe the inside of your glasses tho.

bank aer teh ghey!

:p

they keep pestering me about reviews, I've had four over the last 6 months (rather than one) coz I don't like saying no to my bank. Everytime its 'would you like a loan/credit card' to which I say 'no thanks I couldn't afford it /haven't got a steady job' and it goes on like that for ages. The last time I was asked and arranged a review and didn't go.

Theiving bastards the lot of them.

Just before I started my current job (been there 2.5 years now) I asked for an extention on my overdraft. They gave it to me without too much hassle.

Next I wander in there with a cheque with my first month's wages to pay in to my account. I was up to my limit and just wanted 20 quid to go out with that weekend. They wouldn't even give me 20 fucking quid. The woman even phoned up the head office or something and I had a chat to them and they still wouldn't do it DESPITE the cheque I was paying in that day.

Yet since I've been paying regular wages into the bank I had three or four un-asked for over draft extensions. WTF??

They won't give me 20 quid when I most need it and yet they'll give me hundreds and hundreds of pounds worth of credit when I least need it. Banks = teh cnuts!

I can quite easily spend those thousands of pounds worth of overdraft money for you, at no extra cost!

MY ultra-low APC ensures garunteed quality and security from unwanted investors. Over a period four years, my policy can provide a multitude of expenditures for a range of customers.

etc.

Nat West did a similar thing to me. All during my student years I wasnt much overdrawn at all. 400 quid was my overdraft limit.

When I finished Uni I started a job straight away. I needed about 100 quid to cover me for petrol and stuff for the month before I got paid.

I asked for a 100 quid extension to my overdraft for this purpose and they refused to give it to me.

I then went round to the Midland, explained to them about the new job and they gave me a 1500 quid overdraft limit on the spot.

Banks attitudes amaze me. Nat West funded my Uni years and I was rarely in credit. If I was, I had little cash. As soon as I had the pottential of earning lots of cash, mortgage, etc, they piss me off so much I take my money elsewhere... They never saw a proffit from me and never will.

Banks:

open at 930 close at 1600 (now THATS annoying)
close for staff training
all but biggest branches shut on saturday
close as many local branches as they can
cant speak to my bank manager, no such thing anymore

Banks = shit

I have all my accounts with Nationwide, and the only time I have had to speak to someone was when I set up my ISA. I applied for my credit card, current account, savings account all over the internet and have had absolutely no problems with them. They have internet banking and WAP banking and PDA Banking not to mention Digital TV banking. I pay all my bills over the net, and I get the monthly statements and occassionally they send me a letter telling me they have upped my credit limit fpr my Credit Card

Co-Operative bank rules. Online and telephone banking is superb, I can talk to my branch manager either on the phone or in person; I have a free overdraft; I can apply for a loan and have the money in my account by the end of the banking day.

They also have a policy of not investing in opressive regimes or any company which isn't eco friendly

They were extremely understanding when I changed jobs, giving me a no time limit overdraft to cover me until i got my first paycheck from the new company.

Is that directly with Co-Op or with Smile? (they are the same, so far as I can tell).

My Student loan.. well, overdraft, is handled by Smile. Absolutely brilliant to be honest. MY uni cocked up my accomodation payment and took the money from an account with no money in it, rather than one with the £800 put aside especially.. Smile phoned me up one morning just to say that the payment had failed. No charging, no "you need to do this", just phoned me up to let me know. Which was nice :)

Direct with Co-op, though they do make me smile. When I went to TSB to open an account, they told me they couldn't as I might be a drug dealer trying to launder money. Needless to say, TSB can shove their bank up their collective arse.
