Anyone else noticing, with this peice of shit weapon, 2h miss rates, and evade rates vs you? I've just had a fight with a lurikeen ranger for example, slammed her, got 2 arrows off, got into melee, hit her once, was ooe by then, then the follow

Now with a 1h wep I don't think the evade rate vs is anywhere near this usualy, from my sb, who used a 2h sword, people evaded like 50% of swings in melee (stealthers dueled vs).. this weapon seem's to be just as shit.. so even tho looks>all I'm gona have to re-sc

I should add I'm only RR2L2 with 28+12thrust, was fully buffed at that time, and I'm capped out in everything.

well there's the problem!

you were probably unbuffed too? and unstyled hits kind of always miss...

dual-wielding lowers evade to 25%, you're not dualwielding, so don't expect to hit anything with no end

I'm surprised you managed to land slam.

Don't worry about most of a scout's melée attacks being evaded by assassins; it happens all the time, no matter what weapon you're using.

BTW - Stick with Bane, if you don't hit very often you may as well hit hard when you do.

Bane is an endhoe : Second bad thing..
Bane is thrust and doesn't come with descent styles : Thrid bad thing..

Bane is pretty and hits hard if you hit... Get SSA and do better dmg on Assasins

It's a one hander.

However, scouts have fairly low weaponskill with a melee weapon, plus not duel wielding means a lot more evades against you.
Also styles make NO DIFFERENCE to evade/block/parry rates, they only affect the base hit/miss check (same for defence bonus/penalty on styles). The real issue is trying to hit a buffed ranger with such low weaponskill. Also the ranger has CD which reduces your evade and block by 50%, plus they're usually higher specced in melee anyway.

Don't really see what that has to do with weapon choice.

As for a Scout's choice of damage type, Slash and Thrust have their pros and cons which have been weighed up time and time again, it's all a matter of personal choice.

never have a prob with mine really, went from 29 thrust to 20 last patch and still miss/hit just as much, ran a log parser from using mp LD and bane and the damage over time was nigh on the same (excluding proc - add sidi weaps chance to proc in and its actually higher).
