Bad timing

You know yesterday when there was this global virusattack? It kinduv coincided with this shutdown of servers today and the change of password. Problem is my e-mailservice was terminated during the virusattack, it simply doesn't exist anymore. So the e-mail I'll get my new password to doesn't exist, and since the subscriptionpages are down I can't change it there either... is it possible to do anything about this?

You do realise it's only changing GAME password Right? Just wait till sub pages back up and change the info..

Yeah, thus the problem... if they send me my GAME-password to a non-existing e-mail while I still can't get into subscriptionpages I won't have a password, right?

When subs is up put your new email in and request a new game password.

Um just to clarify, they are changing subs passwords as well, and this is gonna take a while to do.

Yeah, just read up on that... ehm... so this means I won't get my new password to either subpages or game, and I can't get inside subscriptionsection because it is either down or my password is changed... kinduva circular problem this one, don't ya think? :p

Changed my mail adress a couple of days ago, just to find that all account management was down :)

They say that we they are going to handle it when they reopen Rightnow, but how are we able to log into rightnow if they change the passwords? ;)

Yeah, you normally have to log into Rightnow, so not quite sure how you can change the email address.

The same has happened to me and I don't have my new password either... seems a little bit stupid to change everyones passwords for them after the account page has been down for several days, in which time email addresses have changed.

What makes it worse is the fact there is no other way I can find to contact GOA, as they don't even have any support email addresses.

I'm not paying for an account I can't use and who knows how long it'll all be down for. I'm just going to tell my credit card company not to pay, as my subs are due soon - it's pathetic customer service and I'm certainly not paying for it.

Stopping the payment in this way is gonna cancel all my other accounts too, but personally I don't want to pay for a service this poor.

Way to go GOA.

Sad to see more people than me are stuck in the same situation... it's not a very fine one. I love this game, I love my realm and most of all I love my guild, but right now I can't play the game, help my realm and my mates are leaving this game because they are fed up with the lousy technical service.

I agree totally, you do NOT change subscription passwords when the whole service has been down for ages and still doesn't work. Sadly WoW isn't out yet, I wouldn't hestitate a second before moving there...

GOA, if you're reading this, please please pretty please fix this!

Can't do a fecking thing, and there is no mail to reach them on either..

Yeah, this is beginning to annoy me... haven't been able to do a thing now since the big crash. Can't even get in touch with customer support :(
Anyone know any other good, free game you can play while waiting? I tried a free version of UO I got from PC Gamer but the timer had run out on that one :lol:

yeah, try downloading neocron, anarchy online or rubies of eventide. I think they all have free trial periods. Oh and by the way i got my new game password which is great but its just too bad my account subscription ran out the day the service went down...seem to be in the same boat as everyone. Also im pretty sure they didnt want to send out a load of new passwords after they shut the service down, but this is a security measure and they had to shut down the service asap to fix it. I just hope it doesnt take much longer.

Yeah, same here... haven't been away from DAOC for this long ever... maybe the world is totally changed when we get back :lol:
