Just been watching Middies take a keep back.

And as u know a middie troll is pretty large guy..

So he decided too stand ontop of gatekeeper, too make it harder for defenders to get in. With the help of a norsewomen with luvely legs.

Infact u could not see gatekeeper.. or the gatekeepers name.

Of course there are ways you can still select him and get into the keep.


But I just wonder what peopel thoughts are on this...
And do we want all realms doing this?

I think be nice too amke some kinda rules of engagement :p For War

What about hitting through keep doors? Shooting arrows through keep doors or just spell effects through doors?

All those tactics get used on every server by every realm so no point complaining or pretending not to;)

This isn't a new tac tic by any means. I've seen it done, and done it many times myself. Really can't see a problem with it.

Thing is, for people who like to talk about stuff beeing fixed in later patches and whatever - this thing has been fixed in a later patch. You can now, in the us version, run up to the gatekeeper and do a [/say enter] and it will port you in.

May the whining commence!

i never have that problem, if the gatkeeper is covered use one of the 6 other doors. oh hang on thats assasaains only :D

Happened me at crim almost every time I tried to get in, either some pets or some players stood on the gate keeper.

So stop whining your guys do it also.

If you make a macro /s enter exit, you only need one macro.

Before you needed /enter to get in and /exit to get out, but now it registars that you've said one or the other depending wether your in or out.

That sounds clear as mud I know, but it works.

It's kind of silly i think, this gatekeeper. One of the points in laying siege to a fort is to prevent reinforcements to get in. Of course on me it works cause all the ppl make me lag so much i cant make it to the gatekeeper so have to get killed outside side wall :p

Sub I know what yah mean but everyone uses it or we just get nuked by anyone at the door. You can sometimes see spears or others sticking out of the door and so you can target them and hit them when your close to the door. Sometimes when there are a lot, there will be a lot of lag ghosts who can be targeted and therefore be hit when they are close to the gate.. I can't do anything about and so can't you. We all know who can...

And about the troll standing in front of the gatekeepers is what most hibs would call "tactics" :rolleyes:

aye I know and I was doing it myself all the time, I just kept my targetbox clear, waited for that pbae from random alb and then I hit my /stick key and attacked... took down a couple of ppl but it seemed like the albs started using /assist in the end, coz my hp went down the drain damn fast ;P

I dont mind it that much, it works equal for both sides, maybe a little harder for the attackers considering that they have the odds against them..

In later patches it will be harder to defend coz u cant cast thru as many things as u can now etc.
Defending is actually gonna get harder..

Yeah and I heared / read that doors are gonna get harder.. So won't be that many rushing the doors anymore I guess... So I think there will be a lot more sneaky keep attacks then the usual stuffed keeps attack... Because rams are broken very quickly...

Standard tactic, thought everyone used it ?

Much easier to kill somone outside than when they get in and fire/nuke/smite/mez through the gate. Targeting a jumper on the wall is easy though :p

Err Fellas, lets have a reality check...

Complaining about gatekeeps being blocked and denying you access to a keep so you are prevented from defending it using AE catapults through doors etc ??? ;)

uhm, this is a well known tactic everyone use it albs, hibs and mids. But i guess this is just another reason to flame :)

It doesnt make it easier to keep ya of pbae range when i got faaking res illness ^^
It scares u when (after ur bubble breaks) u loose 50-75% hp in 1 hit, loosing 15-40% doesnt ;>
