K&N and peco BB2 are already on

waiting till summer for lowering/alloys/ and maybe a bod kit

Hmm, that would not last 5 minutes round my neck of the woods. If the body kit didn't get ripped off on a muddy dirt-track road in the hills then the local kids would piss in the tank

Sad thing is there's about 3 inches clearance on the front, had better remember not to park so close to kerbs now

I told my insurance company about the bodykit today (neglected to mention the exhaust, superchip or K&N induction kit) and they were not best pleased.. started saying stuff like "most companies wont even insure a car like that" *sniff*

Looks alrite, doesn't look lowered to me tho... Back end looks miles up in the air.. ppl laff @ cars with 17" wheels which aint been lowered

I kinda prefer the Astra GTE's standard shape with no mods apart from some classy 17" wheels and a nice dose of lowering. I am hopin' to get a MK2 Astra GTE 16v next year as they're very cheap to buy now considering the nuff nice performance (60 in 7.4 secs), plenty quick for a 21 year old (when I get it..). Just arsey insurance!

http://www.cis.co.uk are the peeps I'm goin' with for me Nova and they don't add to your premium for bodystyling mods but they're bastards for engine mods, so I'm told. Me Nova will have a Weber 32/34 carb, Pipercross air filter, Pipercross oil breather pipe filter, decent 3" tailpipe back box... and maybe some nice wheels down the line, deffo getting lowered asap and of course - a dose of ICE

PS: that front bumper, is it some kind of VW Corrado one?

Indeed, all Novas ARE shite. But we have had that conversation before. They're still shite tho. I followed an SR the other day driving across to Dundee. You could tell he was ragging it (the smoke coming out the back was a pretty good hint), but no matter what he did, he couldn't shake off the little Fiat in his rear view mirror. It was even more amusing when he got to a corner. Looked like it was about to fly off into the nearest hedge at even the slightest bend. He was NOT impressed when I passed him under power on the Dual Carriageway

Before I lost my license...

My first car was a Golf GTi 16v (J plate, rare as you like) (hit a tree at 75mph and wrote it off)

Second car was a Polo G40 (got hit in snow, written off)

Third car was (well, is, but I have no license any more) a Pug 205 1.9GTi.

Now, all 3 of these cars, I now believe to be well gay. So, if I rate these cars as gay, your novas don't even get a look in.

Well, I would if I had a license :O/ fucking speeding tickets. It's for sale btw, if anyone's interested. Last rolling road tune up rated it at 0-60 6.1 seconds, top end 147, forgotten the BHP but I have the test results somewhere. H plate, immaculate blah blah

And yes, before you ask, the engine has been seriously modded...the exterior however is bog standard...why? Cos for the most part, exterior modding is gay as you like.

I must admit tho, that Durzels bodykit is pretty understated, and hence....classy. (Well, I did help him pick it The one gripe I have aboutit is the testarossa style venting/slashing on the rear arches/side panels. But hey, it still looks understated

I think outta all those cars, the ickle supercharged G40 wud be me fave. Nice colour, colour code the arch extensions, lowered 50mm, nice 16" wheels and that'd do me niceleeeeeeeeeeeeee
