ill throw a quick question , i only played 1 SB and i would like to heard [ read ] the opinion of other pple.
44axe // 39 LA or 39axe //44 LA
what spec would u take and why?
My opinion is 44 axe /39 la coz of weaponskill.

Icy brilliance (44 style) is seriously unpleasant to be hit by, speaking as a minstrel here
44axe/44LA is the best of both worlds, surely?

the 44 LA styles ICy Brilliance is nothing special. i often hit harder with snowsqual than Icy B. which is only of the reasons i`ll be dropping LA down to 39 when and if i get a respec stone.

44 Weapon will benefit you way more than 44 LA will ever do.

at the moment im specced.

44 Axe
44 LA
35 Stealth
35 Envenom
rest in CS.

with items and rr i have +15 to all those skills

throw in some buffs and i have 1357 weaponskill with 301 str

now if i drop LA down to 39 i still keep that weaponskill but gain an extra button on my guickbar ;p

higher weapon skill will mean you get blocked/parried/evaded less and of course increase you dmg output slightly.

my spec if i get a respec stone will be

44 Axe
39 LA
34 CS
34 Stealth
24 Evenom

yes i loose Lifebane and the last str/con debuff but i also gain PA and CD.

along with items and rr i`ll have whe i get rr6 soon i hope

44+16 axe = 60 Axe
39+16 LA = 55 LA
34+16 CS = 50 CS
34+16 Stealth = 50 Stealth
24+16 Envenom = 40 Envenom

god i hate Left axe. not only do i get hit by one mega damage hit..... but 2!

basically its an awesome skill, outdoes celtic duel in everyway (unless both are out of end, unlikely in a stealther duel) and when u see how many sb's take it higher then cs it shows just how god damn brilliant it is.

Wouldnt swap my icy B to get higer axe, went down to 35 axe lost a bit of weapskill but nothing I can fell.

Was:
39 laxe
36 axe
35 stealth
Cs 34
Rest env think 33

Now:
44 Laxe + 6 = 50 possible 61 with other setup in sc amor
35 Axe + 17 = 51
33 stealth + 17 = 50
cs 34 + 17 = 51
env 33 + 17 = 50

Why all the pple says LA is so uber? Yes is a good skill but when u hit for 150 main hand and 30 offhand u feel like wtf , and then a merc or a merfiltrator comes and hit u for 150 mainhand and 100 offhand .Ok i have to admit that doublefrost is a good anytime [ but spends a lot of end].
Im happy with my LA and i think iwould be happy with dual wield//celtic dual [ or thats what i think ^^ ]

I havent icy brilliant , only tested snosquall 1 time and when i saw the dmg i deleted the style from my quickbar, yes the +bonus is random... but the dmg was too crappy to keep it, i still prefer to use glacial movement .


As i said i prefer 44 axe //39 LA , what i have read is , with more axe ur minimum dmg will be a bite higher & more weaponskill and with more LA u will do 0.5% more dmg per lvl LA trained and ur cap will be higher.
Choosing between a bite more weaponskill and a bite more dmg , i prefer WS [ but im not sure 100% ]

i say l.a is an uber skill mainly because u ALWAYS hit, its not percent based like the not so uber celtic duel, where we get 0.75 chance to swing for each spec point (think thats the figure, u have to bare with me)

so when looking at it like that, everytime u style u are gaurenteed a offhand hit, while we aren't
