Awhile ago I posted a link to speeddemoarchive which was basically a website full of gaming speedruns, just found out the same guys have been holding regular charity events in which they will attend with 4-30 people and do nothing but speed run games live for 2 days, all donation proceeds go straight to charity 
its quite awesome.

Just thought I'd share, I enjoy watching speed runs not only for the nostalgia but also to see how good people can get when they stick to playing specific games for long periods of time.
