A new g-mail rival? Seems to offer 2gb of email hosting for free! With no 3rd party adverts.

Link: http://aventuremail.com

Seems they are only accepting so many per day atm (I think its still in testing)
I think its a hell of a lot more pretty than hotmail and SO much more storage :)

What's the catch? How can they offer it for free, surely it'll cost them a truckload?

Ooh, quality. Page fails on sign-up. Maybe that's how they can afford it, by being a bit shit.

I love the way companies advertise 2gb's of space.
In reality, most users won't even use 10 megabytes.
It's all a sales gimmick.
if you were to use 2gb's of space for email, they'd just terminate your account.
Go read the small print.

You only think you know.

There is a limited trial at the moment. Deebs is so busy that it will probably stay limited for a good while.

I never got mine working properly with thunderbird. I really should re-read the thread about it and try again.

I've been using the Horde webmail, and despite my initial dislike, it's really grown on me. A very handy webmail program, far more adapatable than my old Blueyonder webmail.

I love Freddysmail. It rocks hard. :)

You know, I don't know what happened with that. When FH started I was asked if I wanted an account, replied with "yessir", gave details they wanted and no-one ever got back to me or even informed me of any mail stuff... I presumed the idea had fallen through...

I'm using horde as well! I love it only because I can actually view my mail at work (still can't send any though) whereas all other webmails that I have tried get blocked out by the firewall.

So the perl script hammering idea is out the window then. :(

I have two gmail accounts now though, I paid 67p each for them. :)
