Well fuck me. The Avalanches managed to cement their position as my favourite band of the year by playing the greatest set I have ever heard on Radio 1 just now. If you heard it, lucky you! It seriously was fantastic. They started out with some sort of fifties samba type stuff, went on to scratch over twenties jazz and finished with the Jackson Five doing "I want you back". Sadly it only lasted 20 minutes. Why can't we hear more of this stuff? Like, 24 hours a day?

Avalanches kick some serious ass, I heard that set it was mind blowing, and their albums are great. Their lastest track frontier phycharchist is huugee!!!!

fontier phycharchist (I don't know how you spell it either, I just copied plightstar) has to be the most fucked up track in the history of ever. I don't know what drugs they were taking when they wrote it but I'm pretty sure its the type that come from South America.
Apart from the first track they are shit!!!!!!!!
