Avalanche map

Had a look at that avalanche map for week 5 and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to end stand offs on it.

The base is easy to defend, no gens, repair pack re-spawns in the base and it takes a while to get heavies over.

, Avalanche is the most defensive i've seen so far, imho it's far too easy to stick a heavy in the tower and "mortar all us innocent cappers into oblivion". However, there seems no way but masses of Heavy offense to end a stand-off. I agree it's bad for cappin, but still i think it's one of the my favourites (probably cause it's something new for a change.)

Well, I aint played it yet, but to me, it looks like snowblind, without the towers. cappin routes are dead easy to work out, and heavy routes wont be far behind. When peeps start seriously to look at it, I think it will be a wide open map, with lots of action. The base has minimal defenses, so standoffs wont be a problem, except if the capper goes hiding. And if that happens, theres that lovely sensor tower

I worked out the heavy routes shortly after my first post. While Heavy O is fairly easy from either side it is easier from the BE side (so much for the map being balanced). Heavy caps are a little tricky, will be interesting to see if anybody gets some.

The point I made about the bases still stands. The bases are easy to defend, the flag holder has an escape route if in trouble and the stations will always be up so he can get his health back.

The radar on the tower does cover a large area, but it still leaves a lot of space to hide outside its range.
