Only works on certain skills, said to be your main class skill ..

Only one I know of is Stealth on archers/assasins, although i'm not sure about archers nowadays. I autotrained stealth up to lvl 20 on my NS got about 6 points I think. Not a lot in the grand sceme of things but it may afford me an extra point on envenom or something later down the line.

Basically just dont put anything into a spec line and every once in a while you will get a free point in that skill when you visit your trainer. I think it tries to keep it at either 1/3 or 1/4 your level.

I never saw a class with 1/3rd of its level...

All classes that I found where 1/4th of their level... This includes Stealth for assasins (not archers), longbow (or equivilent) for archers, slash for armsman & paladin, chants for paladin (think paladins actually autotrain 2 or 3 skills), instruments for minstrels... There are more...

So basicly, if you do not train stealth for 8 levels, you'll get 1 free point in stealth... Then at level 12, you get another, at 16 another, etc... (up to 48, where you have a total of 11 autotrained levels)

I think I read somewhere that there was some issues with respeccing and autotrained points .. not sure of the details though..

at 48 you get 12 points in stealth. i autotrained stealth to 44 btw
