Automatic Marking as Read

I was wondering if it was possible to stop the Forums being marked as read after a certain period of inactivity... instead have them build up until you either read them or mark them as read.

The marking for read posts is very glitchy. I can read all the posts, come back 5 minutes later and they will still all be marked as read -when no extra posts have been made.

vB is a bit sketchy on marking things read. To get it to mark them correctly you have to read a thread, goto the forum, then the forum above, and work your way out like that.
