is there anyway to stop those damn allaware missile scripts not working on the servers ? like something simalar to CHSP that was out for UT

its getting beyond a joke now....pop your head over a hill and u get locked on by about 8 missiles these days :/

exactly what i mean :(

its a script that automatically fires a missile the second u get a lock, all the person has to is to point towards u and thats it, no skill what so ever

Yup - that f00king sucks. Didn't know you could do that sort of lame thing with T2 :(

What else is out there that completely kills any skill involved?

buit im not going to name them incase more peope go and get them

but its a sake of "well if their using them, them im using them" thats why i was asking if some1 could make a auto thing that blocks them all

well, tbh if you hold down the missile fire button you get kinda the same effect.

The auto flare script comes in the same package as automissile and automatically launches a flare as soon as someone gets a lock on you or a missile turret fires. This does give a distinct advantage against missiles.

both these scripts are banned in the ladder, its general conception that these are "lame" scripts that take an element of skill away from the game.

Actually if you hold down teh fire button the missile fires when you have Green Lock.. which means it will miss.. everytime.

so its not quite the same... and it does = cheating in my opinion.. and the fact that T2 Ladder has banned it doesnt mean that most of the people in the top clans still use it.. unfortunately. I have demos where its clear that some of those who implemented the ban use it... but we wont mention names.

theyre lame rather than cheating really.
Missile - waste em if u want
flares - same, they fire on every lock, not if u actually need em.

Where do you draw the line though ?

Beaconinv - drop a beacon after deploying an inv
Beaconmine - same but with mines
Dropall - drop all kit for a team mate
waypoint scripts
flag announce - saves hitting a few keys there - more automation than autoflare
job/loadout announcements
pilot scripts
engineerhud
commandhud
bomberhud

the list goes on
If you ban automissile ( replaces holding 1 key) and autoflare (wow saves 2ms over hitting flare), then surely you must ban all of the above.

Then reticles - with a mortarhud you can spam targets from out of sight np, surely theyre a cheat ?
How about FOV scripts - let you see more about you. Wait a sec - theres 180look - thats gotta be an advantage.......

I could go on all night. Most of these scripts dont really have that much of an effect overall.
Waypoint scripts & some of the huds are more worrying IMO, yet you cannot tell if a player is using them.
