Authenticating WON thingy

Hi

Not played cs or its mods for some time but fancied a blast, so patched HL, CS, DOD, Firearms, etc, etc. I'm definately all patched up to the right version, but apart from one time when i got into an empty DOD server, it seems to get as far as authenticating to WON server and just sits there ... and sits there ...... and sits there!! I can't ESC, can't get to console, nothing. I have to hit the windows key and end the process to get back to windows and the game just won't connect!
Any ideas?

Won was buggered last night mate, fear not im sure it will be working again by tonight
The easiest way to check is to check a few popular servers, if they;re empty or half empty then its cos of won normally.
Or if they're BW servers its because... well you know ....

WON seems to have been up and down like a whores knickers.

You could try this :

In your C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\valve directory there is a file called woncomm.lst

Open the file (use notepad or Word to open it if you're asked for a program to view it) and replace the entire contents with the script below.

nah, was working before. Saw lots of posts on adslguide forum too, so I'm pretty sure it's this
