Hey guys, hope this isn't rude pimping here, but the OverClockers Australia team is having a big tussle with HardOCP for the number one Folding@Home spot. Its switched about 6 time already. Anyone want to join as a subteam and help fight USA hordes ?

My two biggest bugbears:

1. Sniffy ex-colonist suddenly pretending to love the Queen to become all chummy in a "we're in it together mate" sort of way.

2. People pimping for stupid distributed computing teams with even more stupid distributed computing tasks.

FYI I have 4 PCs at home, whilst not very powerful ones they are on 24/7 and they do nothing ... humming silently ... wasted CPU cycles ... ha ha ha

though personally I just like making the yanks pay for all the bad TV shows they've made

Errr ok, btw, I *DID* vote to keep the queen at the Australian referendum, as did the majority of Australia.

yeh yeh, fair enough. BUT this comp has been pretty good fun, cause everytime we get ahead, the USA start clawing back... we're running out of population.

Besides, I ain't got any free cycles to spare, poor PC is overworked enough with Limewire and an eggdrop running.

And seeing the CPU running at 61C at full load is enough to scare me.

Spoken like a true aussie, you get mucho 'spect now, sadly I'll be a narmy git for the rest of my life, which is approximately several thousand wasted CPU cycles that wont be going to your team.

Hmm..... Im not sure..... I reluctantly joined it about 6-7 weeks ago after much nagging by one of my friends, and now I'm a whore myself. I did UD and Seti before, but got bored of it after a while. This has been alot more interesting being part of a big team, which has its own smaller sub-groups within it competing.

I also like how you can install it as a service under XP, and you never see it again & can just check your stats daily.

I thought the Union Jack was the flag for Britain, which Scotland is a part of, last I checked.

and scotland signed it over for money so it doesnt count as we lost tons of cash on a expedition sabotaged by the english. thus we cant conisder ourselves a part of it!
