Of course what we really need is a simple device to plug into the bottom of the Ipaq, for recording audio at line levels. Such a device would of course be very cheap, and stereo...

line level is 1V p-p (basically what comes out of the back of your hifi cd player).

When the 5450 came out it had been said that the headphone jack also allowed for input, but I've never heard anyone getting it to work...
