let the grey cons heal up lose there combat timer then maim them 
and maybe one day they wont kill ur grey con XP toon in the middle of a fight

Well imo greys XPing in RvR-zones MUST accept to be killed on sight, fair or not. Sticking your nose out can get it scratched.
Stay home in safe territory if you will avoid getting ganked and that's no matter how high lvl you are.

It is an rvr zone, and going in Df you take your chances sure.
Last 2 weeks i have been levelling my lil BM in DF and on several separate occasions solo albs (kissies the lovely mincer) fg albs or small mid groups have shown up at hib merchants and been very polite and cordial to me, often helping me, friendly emote exchanges or at the very worst giving me a lil love-bite, but they always have let me live (except one infili, but still) and carry on with my lowbie activities.
This isnt one time out of a hundred either, prolly the last 10 encounters in DF resulted in only one ganking.
There are nice friendly players who wont gank a grey for the hell of it, but then again there are just as many who will gank you because you are grey. You take your chances, simple as that.
Personally i have met some really nice albs/mids recently and it's really enhanced my appreciation of the game as only in DF (possibly marfach) can you encounter a random enemy and have a friendly emote convo, doesnt happen in emain much
