ATI users help me please

Hi im trying to download the latest drivers 3.5 now for some reason everytime i download a driver it says that i need the CD rom disk? what disk? i downloaded it off the net.

i install the driver then it says comp will restart etc and do some tests

it restarts and says new hardware found searching for files etc but it then says some shit about not being able to find the right files.

am i doin somet wrong?

I've got the 3.5 drivers downloaded direct from ATI. Had no problems at all installing.

Very strange, i havent d/l the 3.5 yet myself.

When i do ill let you know how it went.

Oh, just out of curiousity, did you d/l the correct driver for your card? I know it sounds silly, but if you d/l and install the wrong driver it will sometimes tell your system that it is looking for the wrong card. This happened to me when i d/l the ATI Radeon 9000 driver instead of the 9000 Pro2 driver. My comp tried to find a 9000 card, not a 9000 Pro2 card and got a bit confused. I solved this by reinstalling the correct driver.

Hope its a simple problem like this.

how do i know which is the right card? i go on the powered by ATI page and it gives me a list of the latest drivers doesnt say weather or not its for my card?

Just curious m8, what was the problem and solution in the end?

I only ask coz ATI issues often come up and when people search these forums for advice they may find this post and it would be really nice for there to be the final solution posted up here for them :)

well i was downloading the wrong drivers for my card basicly i didnt know you could search for drivers for a specific card ops :)
