ATI cards

I am considering getting an ATI graphics card and was just wondering what were all those problems people were having with them when SI came out...

They ocassionally lock-up and require a reboot (allegedly a driver issue) but a lot of peeps I know (me included) use them with few problems

cant recommend Hercules ATI 9700 Pro... fooked up drivers and nowhere to get it fixed
