Title says it all! Arrgh!

Well, maybe not all...here is some more info:

I have the following setup:

Elite K7VZA mobo
1.3 ghz Athlon Chip
640mb RAM
Windows XP Pro SP1
Ati Sapphire 9000 pro Atlantis GFX
Creative SB Live Platinum 5.5

I installed the card with no problems at all but for some reason I can't run any games for an extended period of time before they all crash back to windows with no error messages. I have installed the latest Catalyst drivers, Hyperion drivers and Direct X 9 but to no avail. I used to have a GeForce 2 MX Pro card installed on the system before I got the Ati card and that worked fine most of the time.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I may not have uninstalled the old nvidia drivers before installing the new card but I don't know where to find them on the system and I am not 100% sure that this will solve the problem.

If anyone could help me with this problem I would be very grateful. I was made to wait 2.5 weeks for the damn card to arrive in the post and now I can't even look at all the pretty GFX in my games. Talk about frustrating!!

Many thanks

:)

My nvidia card has files/drivers in below dir's, the inf dir may be hidden, change this in the folder options.

C:\WINNT\inf\nv3.inf
C:\WINNT\inf\nv4.inf
C:\WINNT\inf\nv3.pnf
C:\WINNT\inf\nv4.pnf

Delete your nvidia ones if you find any, aswell as your ati ones, then re-install your card.

I tried tthat. I just uninstalled the nvidia drivers and then the Ati drivers, reinstalled the card and tried it again but it didn't work. 3d2001 still crashes!

I will try and play some games to find out if I still get any problems and I will let y'all know if it works. I am not holding my breath though.

Thanks anyway,

Mr. Negativity :)
