I actually agree, someoen on vn suggested that as more pl ganged up on someone they should do less dmg, which im kinda for. its not funny when you and 3 other tanks run up to class#1, hit once, kill him, moev on to class#2 etc etc etc.

I agree, but maybe rather than a damage reduction we need a reverse to hit calculation. Rather than getting a bonus to hit per attacker you should get a penalty to hit per attacker, it's got to be harder to hit someone with 3 other people infront of you hitting them aswell?

Maybe take away the /assist command and make it just that little bit 'harder' so they have to manually pick target instead of spamming a key :x

plzzz no not that :) as pve+rvr are on the same game code (and will remain that way) so that would mean any high lvl mob is suddenly unable to get killed. As we needed 100+ppl to gank it, but with that everyone will just keep missing :(.

Think making it actually hard to pick the same target as somebody else would be nice:).

next enemy, closest enemy...

stick..


and it would kinda solve most problems..

its not like you will survive two axes in the neck from a dude now is it?


but seriously, giving a huge penalty to tohit for every attacker over 2 would really be good i think.

And force casters to click on the persons who are to be affected by pbaoe to make it a little harder. Instead of just spamming one key. :)

i usualy survive 2 axes in my neck, 4-5 can be dangerous tho.

actuallly its running next to your ma, spamming assist key and sticking on the target then. Usually assist does not work in random grps. not saying that its uber hard to assist or something, but pbaeing is not harder too (doesnt work well in randomgrp too tho).

dont think removing would be a good idea but maybe limit assist to 2 ppl so that not 4 tanks / assist debuffnukers kann instakill everything etc.

but imo fix interupt code, first take away tons of interupting shit, things like chaincast root or something, when target is immune to that it should not interupt etc.

Yer make life harder for tanks and easier for casters :)
Removing stick and assist sounds like a good idea to test, certainly would make it more skillful to gank ppl 1 at a time.
Casters need /face so they can stop to cast spells quickly, if you remove that add a new /stop mode for casters :)
Also while we are on the subject how about more info in the log, like not only who resists mezz but who actually gets mezzed. Also if they are mezz immune dont just show one name, show all the names that are immune, all that got mezzed, all that resisted etc.
Can't wait for the resist graphic in 1.63 or whenever it is :)

Removing stick has many other effects also you know. For example laggy people would have alot of trouble with their targets strafing around them without them noticing. Also we would have a world full of strafers cause some will learn some will not. Also keeping a zerg together will be very harrd( poor albs!). Sorry people but removing stick/face/follow isnt a very good sollution.

And as for attack penalty when more attackers. How would you solve the high lvl mob thingy?

removing /assist would be nice ... mostly becuase it would remove the afk feeling ...

but still would not make the fundamental best group more fun to play ...

atm there is only 1 spec and 1 way to play who is a winner ...

booring ...

I like that idea - it reminds me of the old UO days when the only option was to "assist" by sight. There seemed to be more skill in that game - maybe due to the game mechanics, but also because there was more emphasis on watching what was happening, instead of relying on /stick, /face and /assist macros.

I agree the game is so boring nowayds cus every rvr groups demands u to do the uber exciting /assist /stick tactic!!!.Ok u win but at the price of fun.

possibly making a max amount of damage that a player can take at one time?

IE: Cap of 1000 damage can be done to a person at one time.

3 Zerkers all hit a caster, doing a total of, let's say, 1800 damage (600 per zerker). Instead, each of them does 333.33333(so on and so forth) to do a max of 1000 damage to that caster.

Same circumstance, 2 zerkers hit the caster, doing 1200 damage total, the caster would only take 1000 (500 per zerker).

Might be good?
