i was just wandering if there is any good reason for nightshades and shadowblades to have 2.2x spec points and infiltrators having 2.5x.
This may have been asked plenty of times, and I would like to know if mythic/goa have ever adressed this?
This has bothered me for quite a while, please if anyone knows please post

SBs get the advantage of more hitpoints.
Nightshades get the advantage of residing in the overpowered realm (oh, and get some dodgy DDs).
Infs get extra spec points.

NS in an over powered realm ^_^ i guess thats why we hold 1 relic and we are lucky when we own a keep in the frotier

as said above, 3 changes were made to assassin classes in some patch a while ago to differentiate them

sb's got more hp
infs got more spec points

but us shades got lucky and got the uuuuuber damage shout

the shadow blade and nigthshade seem pretty well balanced with each other, but to me an xtra 400 spec points give or take (if thats right?) seems a bit over the top.
I am not whining cus I really like my n/s and I love the range spell we get instead of throwing knives/crossbow.

Infils = TEHUBER!
SBs = Dead
NS = Gimped
Blade-NS = Very Gimped
BladeNS with crappy spec = ME = TEH UBERGIMP!

well specced balde ns > infil/sb, buffed blade ns >> buffed infil/sb
just pick up your realm abilities carefully, you'll get lotsa realmpoints by respeccing from ip/dodger, and you have very nice abilites to spend this points

Pierce has an after-evade-stun move that makes pierce good for pve and rvr when PA fails, and nightshades have low str unbuffed so it's not a logical choice to pick blades. But PA'ing with a bastard sword is, trust me, PAINFULL.

You have three types of opening moves in Critical Strike:

Backstab1
Backstab2
Perforate Artery

Backstab1 (lvl 1 CS) is for starters and okay damage. This is the opening of a 3-move chain.

Backstab2 (lvl 10 CS) has a 3-ish second stun after you perform it and the follow-up move of backstab2 is also a high damage style

Perforate Artery (lvl 21 CS) is used from the front, instead of from the rear. It has even more damage than backstab2 but does not stun. The follow-up moves of PA are: Creeping death (lvl 34 CS), it's high damage and stuns the opponent for 6ish seconds. After creeping death you can perform the stunning stab (lvl 39 CS), which is a high damage style without any other special effects.

BS1, BS2 and PA can only be used when you are in stealth and they are all three positional.

BS1, BS2 and PA punch through bladeturns aswell.

wild arcana not only allows you to crit with poisons but also with procs (reverse including)
so ns with dot proc weapons (you will swing em very fast) and reverse dot proc armor should be quite dangerous. add here avoid pain on 15 min timer and you can kill any infiltrator, you just need to purge their dragonfang

Ive seen many people saying blade spec ns are gimped, fair enough im only approaching bg spec and have only fought duels so far so cant say at higher level but with my blade shade ive never lost a duel to a pierce ns yet and many i beat quite convincingly. Im gonna reserve judgement. With plenty of SC added str i think will make it viable.

i never really got on with WA, never procced for me much. to get it would mean losing other ra's which i prefer and afaik i only have 1 ra respec left

As of next patch ( when we lose ip ) if you have dodger, IP or FA you will get an RA respec ( assasin class's only ofc ) but... if you already have a respec of this type ( RA ) you will not get an additional one,


So basically if you have a ra respec atm, feel free to use it to test things etc.. you get another soon, but if you have one and dont use it before patch, you wont get an extra one ( meaning you will still only have 1 )


On the issue of WA, i used to think it didnt go off much, but this patch it goes off nearly every fight sometimes twice in one fight, ofc having dot reactives on some parts of armour and dot proccing weapons aswell as venoms helps ^^, i only have lvl2 atm, but its that nice i think ill get 3 when i can
