It was 'launched' at The Playing Fields not long ago but Gameplay still have it listed as TBA i think. You can buy it direct from the US of course.
Remember tho that there won't be any UK server farms so you'll have to play on US servers. This isnt as bad as it sounds as it seems to be reasonably playable, even on a modem.
I've been playing it for a couple of months now -- the ONLY place you can play is the MIcrosoft Gaming Zone
Lags OK, dependent on when you go on etc and there is talk of a UK release soonish (or there was last time I heard) so there may be some UK servers up soon - though I'm not holding my breath
The Playing Fields launch was the UK release. I couldnt get an invite but that slacker Ted did :|
At the event he asked a Microsoft rep if there was ever going to be a server farm in the UK and they said No, never, its completely off the agenda. I guess the UK market isnt big enough for them yet.

Ive been playing it on a modem for 3 months, hardly any lag even on BT Free.
You have to buy it from the states at the mo, but its well worth it.
If you do get it make sure you join the Leafcull server, there are quite a lot of UK and EU peeps on that server, including some fellow BW users
In the last Developer chat with Turbine, there was talk on working on the EU release. But i think there plans are to host it from France or Holland. Still there is no official announcement on this yet. I've got a feeling it will tie in with the European Zone servers, which have also been rumoured.
